Introductions!

Hi! My name is Chance! I'm a mutt!

I originally came from Tennessee, but live in the suburbs of Chicago now, with my new family. I'm not sure what breed I am; mom says I'm part Beagle and part butt-head. I'm not sure what any of that means, but my favorite things are chewing (especially on the couch) and eating treats!

We think I'm about two years old judging by my teeth, and although I'm not really teething anymore I still really love to chew things, which gets me in trouble quite a bit. My favorite toys are my rope toys (which I love to eat when no one's looking) and my Kong bone. Mom stuffs it with pup-peroni sticks a lot and I love those! I like walks a lot too, and learned this winter that I really, really like the snow!

Don't let my cute face fool you though, I'm a trouble maker! I always want mom's attention, which isn't easy because she's busy a lot, but she plays with me and lets me sleep in her bed under the covers every night, and I like that a lot. I like to act up a lot if no one's watching me, but I'm not bad, really! I just want you to notice me. All the time!

I'm not super cuddly really, but I do always want to be around you when I can. I really love playing with other dogs too, but I'm really high energy and excitable, and because of that I can come off as aggressive, but I promise I just want to play. We're working on that, but I'm pretty stubborn. I'm probably going to need some behavior classes soon just so I can learn to be a gentle-pup when I go outside.

Because I'm such a power chewer it's hard for mom to find me toys that last as well. She calls me "destructo-pup" which is pretty true.

Anyway, that's enough about me for now. Mom's gonna write this blog because I'm is the first dog she's had in a while, and she wants to catalog all of the experiences that we share! She's also reading a lot of books and testing out a lot of toys and treats which she wants to write about whether they're good or bad, and why!

We'll update you just a few times a month unless some big changes occur!

Thanks for reading! Bark bark bark!
